Privacy policy
Last updated November 3, 2026
Klipd is built to keep as much as possible on your own PC. This page explains what does leave it.
What stays on your PC
- Your recordings, clips and edits, unless you choose to upload a clip.
- Your microphone audio for voice clipping. Speech is recognised by a model running on your PC, and the mic is only listened to while a game is recording. Noise suppression also runs on your PC.
- The list of games and apps Klipd detects.
What we collect
- Your email address, to sign you in and to send sign-in codes and important account messages. We don't send marketing email.
- Clips you upload, with their title, game name, length, size and how many times their share page was viewed.
- Billing details, handled by Stripe. We see your plan, its status and renewal date; we never see your full card number.
- Basic request logs (such as IP address and time), kept briefly by our hosting provider for security and to stop abuse like sign-in code spam.
We don't use advertising trackers, sell your data or share it with advertisers.
Who processes it
- Cloudflare hosts the website, the database, uploaded clips and sends our emails.
- Stripe processes payments.
Sharing
A clip's share link can be opened by anyone who has it, and apps like Discord may show a preview of it. Set a clip to “Only you” on your account page to stop that.
Keeping and deleting data
Uploaded clips are kept until you delete them or your account. Deleting your account removes your email, sessions and cloud clips straight away; Stripe keeps payment records as the law requires. Sign-in codes expire after 15 minutes and are deleted within a day.
Your rights
You can see, download and delete your cloud clips from your account page, and delete your account there too. For anything else, including a copy of your data, email support@klipd.online.
